Stardupp HIPE OWS Fullsuit 3/2mm Wetsuit Men
High-quality neoprene, maximum performance
The Stardupp HIPE OWS Fullsuit 3/2mm was primarily developed as an open water swim wetsuit. Designed to create as little resistance in the water as possible, with maximum freedom of movement as the result. No heavy or stiff feeling, just a suit that stays smooth and flexible.
What makes this wetsuit different from a standard surf wetsuit is the smoothskin neoprene on the outside. This smooth outer layer does not absorb water and reduces drag in the water. On top of that, the neoprene itself is more flexible, so the suit feels freer while moving.
What is the difference compared to a regular wetsuit?
A standard wetsuit has a fabric outer layer. It is strong, but it absorbs water and often feels heavier.
The HIPE OWS Fullsuit 3/2mm has a smooth smoothskin outer layer. This provides:
Less drag in the water
No water absorption on the outside
More flexibility
A snugger, more comfortable fit
You notice this not only while swimming, but in almost any dynamic water sport.
3/2mm: the most versatile wetsuit thickness
For many water sports enthusiasts, a 3/2mm wetsuit is the most versatile option. With 3mm on the torso and 2mm on the arms and legs, you get enough warmth for spring and autumn and cooler summer days, without the suit feeling heavy or stiff.
The suit fits snugly and holds a thin layer of water that is warmed by your body. This keeps you comfortable while maintaining full freedom of movement.
Not only for open water swimming
This wetsuit is designed with open water swimming in mind, but it goes far beyond that. In any water sport, you benefit from the advantages of smoothskin neoprene.
Think SUP, kayaking, wakeboarding, waterskiing, windsurfing, kitesurfing or wingfoiling. The smooth outer layer does not absorb water and the neoprene stays flexible. That makes the suit feel less heavy and less stiff than many traditional wetsuits with a fabric outer layer.
You get a flexible and comfortable wetsuit that is widely usable, without sacrificing quality or freedom of movement.
Fit and use
A wetsuit should fit tight. That is normal. If it is too loose, you will get cold faster and it will rub more easily.
Smoothskin neoprene is flexible, but also a bit more delicate than standard neoprene. Put the suit on carefully, avoid using fingernails, and work it up step by step to prevent damage.
Tip: Going open water swimming? Combine this wetsuit with the Stardupp Swim Buoy for extra visibility and safety in the water.
